Those Experiencing the Climate Crisis Firsthand

Disaster response programs, providing direct humanitarian action to the hardest to reach the most vulnerable in rebuilding lives, serve water and hot meals, provide safe, dry shelter until families can return home.
The Emergency Appeal covers 18 flood-affected states in Nigeria to allow the Apinds Empowerment Foundation to prioritise the most affected areas as the flood situation evolves. The states targeted in this appeal include Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Rivers, Taraba, and Yobe, and Zamfara state
Disaster Recovery Flood by donating gently used clothing, socks, shoes, bedding, and blankets are almost always in need after a devastating flood. You can also help the children affected by floods by sending them books and toys. Purchase and donate new, non-perishable food items and bottled drinking water.
Save the children's country, It is important that assistance is provided to those affected people, particularly to children, who are always most vulnerable at times of crisis. Without immediate support, the situation could deteriorate in the coming weeks as people could face multiple crises with the peak of the lean season, and significant displacement could still occur
  • ApindsEF

aims to alleviate the situation of the vulnerable people, which includes those affected by the floods and the poorest communities in both urban and rural areas amongst whom are women, children, aged, displaced, and other vulnerable people.
  • ApindsEF

volunteers continue to assess the damage and impact of the ongoing Nigeria floods. Over 1.4 million people have been displaced, more than 90,000 homes have been destroyed, and about 500 people have died in some of the worst flooding Nigeria has seen in a decade, since middle of september, the flooding driven by rainfall intensified by human induced climate change and poor climate resilience infrastructure has washed away entire communities and destroyed thousands of hectares of farmland
Please mobilizes and coordinates humanitarian assistance to people in-need in Nigeria
